Steven Lopez paints Mountain High's terrain Park for 2005--2006 snow season
Novemeber 4-7, 2005, Wrightwood CA
Steven Lopez has completed artwork for Mountain High's terrain park, Faultline. More than $100,000 was invested in materials and resources this summer to ensure the park remains one of the best in the country. The resorts Marketing Director, John McColly was proud to have Steven for a 3rd straight year. "Rarely do you meet someone who is so profoundly talented that you wonder, "Why the hell is this guy even talking to me." Steve is one of those guys.
Steven's Artwork graced the pages of Transworld Snowboarding in 2004 when the magazine did an article on Mountain High's terrain park. The artist knew he was on to something. Steven has undoubtedly changed the perception of terrain features across the country. He has shown resorts the marketable opportunity that awaits on the blank spaces of their metal obstacles. Lopez had this to say, " I love snowboarding and art. It was going to be a matter of time when I would do something like this. Mountain High gave me that opportunity to make it happen." In 2003 Lopez jumped aboard and created 8 murals for the terrain park and the main dining hall. In 2004 Lopez continued his art in the terrain park and provided an installation for Mountain High's retail store.
